A word about prevention of automatic transmission problems

Automatic Transmission Repair and Maintenance 47249320
Your car’s automatic transmission is a very complex systems of gears and fluid.  There are numerous moving metal parts inside your automatic transmission.  The moving parts must be kept lubricated because if they don’t the friction between them starts to break down the metals.

The job of your automatic transmission fluid is to keep things running smoothly and keep friction to an extreme minimum.  The problem is that your transmission fluid’s protective qualities begin to erode from day one.  As time and miles tick by, the fluid stops protecting all those moving parts and the parts start to flake metal pieces throughout the fluid.  This adds friction, thus adds heat.  The heat destroys the transmission fluid further.  Soon, you have a lot of metal on metal with very poor or no good protection from friction.
