Come meet the staff at Shelley’s Precision Auto Center in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Paul Payton – Co-Owner, ASE Master Certified Technician

Paul started working here at Shelley’s when he was 15 years old for Roy Shelley.  He has dedicated his life’s work to automotive service.  Paul is a long time Thousand Oaks resident and attended Thousand Oaks High School in his youth.  Paul is an excellent service technician with ASE Certifications. Paul is also an Air Conditioning Certified tech.

Jerry Payton – Co-Owner, ASE Master Certified Technician

Jerry started working for Roy Shelley, the previous owner at age 18.  We worked here with his older brother Paul as a mechanic.  He has over 2 decades of automotive service experience.  Jerry has spent most of his life here in Thousand Oaks, having graduated from Thousand Oaks High School.  He is now raising a family here in the community and is a proud member of the Conejo Valley.  Jerry holds Advanced ASE Master Certifications and in continuing his path with additional certifications toward his Master certification and a qualified California Smog Certificate.  Jerry is also an Air Conditioning Certified tech.  Jerry is our dedicated brake and lamp inspector as well as our smog inspector.

Rick Kemmerer – ASE Master Certified Technician & CA Certified Smog Technician

Rick joined the Shelley’s team as a service technician in January 2016. He has over 20 years of experience in automotive repair and diagnostics, over 15 years of experience as a certified smog technician and is a certified air-conditioning technician. He graduated from Buena High School and completed the Automotive Program at Ventura College. Rick has lived in Ventura County for the last 28 years and currently he and his wife of 15 years live in Thousand Oaks and in their free time enjoy off-roading, boating and traveling.

Christy Tullock – Customer Service, Service Advisor

Christy is a recently relocated from North Carolina and has been part of the Shelley’s family since 2012.  She is the front office face of the Shelley’s and is friendly, helpful.
